The 3rd Internations Symposium on the Acoustics of Ancient Theatres (SAAT 2026) will take place at the Polytechnic Univesity of Cartagena, Spain

Organised by theEAA Technical Committee on Room & Building Acoustics and the Sociedad Española de Acústica SEA, with the collaboration of the Acustica AIA and the Hellenic Institute of Acoustics (HELINA), SAAT 2026 will bring together experts to present and discuss all aspects of the acoustics of ancient theatres.

Topics include:

• new measurement systems
• acoustic simulations and auralisation
• soundscapes and virtual reconstructions

This third edition will also broaden its scope to include other culturally and historically significant sites, such as churches, opera houses, caves, and additional landmarks.
